ROUTE ITINERARY
DAY 1: Marangu/Kilema gate (1800 m) – Horombo Hut (3720 m)
You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 am, this morning we drive through semi-tropical foothills to Marangu gate, take some minutes for registration and get the permit and then drive to Kilema gate and from there start riding up to Horombo hut. This day is 100% cycling by bike in distance of 19 km through forest to moorland. Overnights at Horombo hut.

DAY 2
Acclimatization day, After having breakfast you start your cycling, riding through alpine desert, some of the areas you will ride on the small stones, up to Mawenzi hut and back to Horombo. Distance 10 km

DAY 3: Horombo hut (3720 m) – Kibo hut (4720 m)
Distance: 9 km
After breakfast you will proceed with riding to Kibo hut, you will ride on small stones in most areas. Vegetation is Alpine desert.

DAY 4: Kibo Hut (4720 m) – Summit (5895 m) – Horombo hut (3720 m).
Distance: 21 km
At 4:00 am you will be awakened up by your Guides and after have light breakfast you will start the zigzag trek up a long scree slope. After roughly two hours you should reach Hans Myer’s Cave and from here the gradient gets steeper. Proceeds your climb for approximately another three hours to Gilman’s point, you will take your bike from porters and starting ride to Uhuru peak, arriving at Uhuru peak spends a few minutes. Taking photos and then riding down to Stella Point. After lunch at Stella point ride down to Horombo hut. Vegetation is Alpine-Summit-Moorland zone.
DAY 5: Horombo hut (3720 m) – Kilema gate (1800 m)
Distance: 19 km
After breakfast, make your final riding down to Kilema gate, then you will be transfer to Marangu gate for checking out and then to your hotel. Vegetation is Moorland and forest. End of our tour services.
